VEA is dedicated to ensuring every student and family feels safe, welcomed, and supported in our schools, no matter their immigration status. We firmly believe that public schools should be sanctuaries where all students can learn and flourish. Our commitment is to see students in class each day, as schools provide the secure environment they need to develop, learn, and reach their full potential.

In response to concerns about Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) activities potentially affecting schools, educators across the country are taking action to protect their students. We’ve compiled these resources to support teachers and local unions who are working to safeguard students and their families during this challenging time.
